Google Analytics measures things like:

  • the pages you visit on the site
  • how long you spend on each page
  • how you got to the site
  • what you click on while you’re visiting the site

Google is not allowed to use or share the analytics data from this site.

The cookies set by Google Analytics are:

  • _ga helps us count visitors by tracking if you’ve visited before. It is saved for 2 years.
  • _gid also helps with this, and is saved for 24 hours.
  • _gat manages the rate at which page view requests are made, and is saved for 10 minutes.

The site also saves a few more cookies if you log in to edit or view the admin dashboard of the site. These enable the admin area to function properly.

The site also sets a cookie to remember your preference if you click “That’s fine” on the cookie message at the top.
