The conference centre had lovely free tea, coffee and hot chocolate, but working out exactly where to put the mug was something of a challenge.
I discovered something new today – apparently there is supposed to be one gospel candle and one epistle candle, and the gospel candle must be on the left, and the gospel candle must be lit first … if indeed it lights at all.
Apparently this is what “encourage” means … but perhaps it’s less clear to non-church people than the word “encourage” was in the first place.
